“If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of
tomorrow,”
-John Dewey, American philosopher, and educator
They say that mothers are our first teachers and education begins at home. While mothers create a strong foundation for learners at home, schools continue to remain core to advancing children’s lives through education. Thus, the focus of the Indian education system will always be on classroom teaching and curriculum but it will need to be enabled with technology to make it relevant and relatable to the new generations.
The unprecedented disruption of classroom education due to the pandemic, however, presented a rare opportunity for schools to adopt a hybrid learning model and improve learning outcomes for students. This adoption, which was in a nascent stage, accelerated when schools were forced to close due to the pandemic putting at stake the future of 230 million students studying in more than 1.4 million schools from the K-12 sector.
Experts, however, believe that the current hybrid or blended education— a mix of traditional teaching with textbooks and blackboards and technology-led education with the use of pre-recorded lessons, instructional videos —is here to stay, and thrive. The schools of the future, they argue, will be far more integrated, technology- enabled, pedagogically different, and disruption-proof to take care of pandemic-related lockdowns of the future. Such a blended makeover will enhance the work of educators, improve the quality and quantity of educational content, allow learners to thrive, and produce better outcomes. But such a transformation will call for reimaging and reinventing schools to prepare students for 21st-century education.
1. School Automation
1. Campus Automation
Campus automation is building automation in a School Campus, called a smart school or smart campus. A campus automation system will monitor and/or control infrastructural attributes such as lighting, climate, appliances, and infotainment & entertainment systems. It may also include the security such as access control and alarm systems. When connected with the Internet, the devices are an important constituent of the Internet of Things ("IoT"). We are providing an IoT - Cloud based system to manage and monitor the day to day activities and do appropriate actions to make a happy schooling environment.
2 .Workflow Automation:
Students today are more technologically savvy than ever before and school systems should be the same. Some schools still mainly keep records as paper documents in filing cabinets. Others have moved onto the stage of digitizing where physical forms are uploaded to computers and sent back and forth through emails. The most advanced schools have started having simple tasks become fully automated. Fully automating tedious tasks is the stage you want your school to be in. When schools automate key processes, they reduce waste, save time, attract top staff, and are more organized.
2. Digital transformation in education
Digital Transformation in Education involves improving the core educational processes of a School to effectively fulfil the expectations of Students and Parents through data and technology leveraging.

Using Augmented and Virtual reality is the next level of evolution in the learning system.
Education is expected to be the 4th largest sector that will invest in VR investment. Many
studies including this one done by Statista are predicting that by 2025, VR in education is to
be a $700 million industry.4>
AR/VR creates an interactive and virtual environment for the students, explaining complex concepts by using the visual-audio factor. It delivers a practical explanation for students to understand different subjects effectively. Schools can use this to take students on a virtual tour to different places and help them learn better.
AR and VR are also beneficial for the students with disabilities as it helps to design courses as per their requirements, enabling students to simply regulate their devices and blend into classes just like other students.
Implementing AI in educational software can help bring adaptive learning to the students. It includes using special teaching devices to handle the learning needs of the students. Adaptive learning helps educational institutes to personalize content and learning experience in innovative ways, adjusting courses as per the performance of the students. This provides focused attention on students, improving their way of learning, and bringing positive results.
Adaptive learning uses AI to collect and process a huge amount of data from students’ learning activities such as the amount of time spent on completing assessments and response latency. This helps identifies individual student needs and builds programs accordingly.
Artificial intelligent chatbots help teach students, through a series of messages, just like a regular chat conversation but from the content of a lecture. The chatbot will repeat the cycle of assessing each student’s level of understanding individually and then provide them with the following parts of the lecture as per their progress.
Using AI-based chatbots in the learning system enables automated intelligent tutoring providing a dedicated learning environment to the students. It not only enhances the learning process but increases engagement in the individual subjects as well. Another benefit is that students can provide immediate feedback that will allow teachers to figure out areas where they can improve their teaching abilities.
AI-driven and ML-based assessment tools help insitutions and schools administer online examinations in a hassle-free manner. The educational institutes can flexibly conduct different types of examinations such as multiple-choice questions, paragraph type questions, typing and coding simulators, or video and audio input.
The system is trained to process and analyze facial and voice recognition of the examinee provided with the candidate information and flag discrepancies to prevent impersonation and suspicious behavior. The system can lock down the assessment application, limiting students’ navigation away from the assessment, and restricting them from taking external help.
AI and big data analytics can help universities and schools to create a personalized learning experience for students and resolve challenges such as ineffective learning, disengaged students, and even reduce dropout rates. It helps professors and teachers to understand the learning capability of each student and enhance their productivity in the classes.
AI-based analysis allows teachers to evaluate the performance of students to check the feasibility of improvement, understand where the student is lacking, and teach them more effectively.
Attendance monitoring is one of the vital administrative processes in all educational institutions and organizations. A well-structured system will enable the institutions to have an increasing growth. It helps the students and teachers in all ways to have a good progress in the attendance, thereby reducing the teachers' time and effort. In physical classrooms, traditional method of calling the students names and marking their presence/absence is the routine process followed regularly. We can use contactless AI powered attendance marking systems.
A really wonderful 4 days of skill development. Also got to engage in a different kind of atmosphere with 2 great resource persons
